Over the years, I have experienced or witnessed wonderful little moments between people. They aren’t the type of interactions that make the news, they aren’t grand gestures of charity, others’ may overlook them entirely or forget about them a few minutes after their occurrence.

For me, they exemplify our humanity, people’s ability to overcome themselves and to relate to one another and they highlight our capacity for emotional generosity. Whenever I think about them, the memories fill me with warmth and, simply, make me smile.

Recalling such moments is also a way that I combat memories of past pain or current disputes with family, friends and strangers. These Little Diamonds, Human Moments overpower the negative, reaffirm my hope for the good and secure my belief in human connection and unity, above our differences.

In the context of this blog, I wanted to share such exchanges and hope that site visitors will share theirs as well.
